Please enjoy these educational presentations.  They are mostly focused on the importance of craniofacial growth and development, and how our centuries-old soft food diet has caused underdeveloped of the oral cavity which leads to underdeveloped facial features and consequently narrower upper airways - one of the largest risk factors for obstructive sleep apnea.  You'll learn about how what types of orthodontic treatment can compound this problem, what types can address it, and the role myofunctional therapy has in ensuring optimal development of the child.  For mothers with growing children, your time is best spent on the myofunctional therapy presentations.  Our presenters give exercises your child can start right away.  All of this important because once a child stops growing, it is very difficult to undo missed growth and development.  The upper jaw is about 90% grown by the age of 12 to 14 for females, and 14 to 16 in males, so you have to get them on the right path at infancy.  These presentations are meant to guide you on that path.
